to what lies within Us

MARANATHA CHURCH EVENTS (at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary chapel)

On Wed. Sept. 8, Maranatha and LCM will be hosting a Caribbean Orientation Day BBQ in front of the seminary as we have done the past two years. It will run from 12-2pm.  We anticipate having a steel drummer present.

On Sunday, Sept. 12, Maranatha will be holding its second Black History Fieldtrip 8am-6pm.  We will be travelling by Cherry Bus to worship at the Salem British Methodist Episcopal church in St. Catherine's for 11am.  This is the church home of Harriet Tubman in the 1850's and remains an active congregation until today.  Following service, we will have a picnic lunch before heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a few hours of leisurely strolling  before returning to the seminary.  Cost will be $50. per person and is all inclusive (bus, lunch, tour).  We will have a couple of extra seats if there are any faculty/staff interested in joining us for the day.  We hope to have an arrangement whereby we can provide a few half-price seats for Laurier/seminary students.
